John Noble is an atmospheric scientist who received his MS in meteorology at San José State University (SJSU) where he researched the atmospheres of Earth and Mars. He worked as a graduate student researcher at NASA Ames Research Center where he integrated and analyzed Mars Global Surveyor atmospheric data to better understand and characterize the dynamical processes responsible for global dust storm initiation, expansion, and interannual variability. He also researched cloud modeling in a PhD program (Earth sciences) at the University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC), and later withdrew from the program.

His interests include planetary atmospheres, Earth system science, climate-positive energy technologies, climate (monitoring, modeling, and mitigation), and machine learning applications in these fields.
